“It’s getting worse you know.”

“I know.”

“I couldn’t even get online without people targeting me.”

“I know.”

Marnie couldn’t help but fidget, she was an entertainment blogger after all, and the things that she’d been hearing about her site and her work lately was groundless but somehow the Twitterverse seemed to be having a field day with it.

“Relax Marnie,” Yasmine said, taking a sip of her coffee as she fiddled with her own phone, “Just stay off the feed and let it run its course.”

“This seems worse than before though.”

“We survived the shit storm once, we can do it again.”

Marnie blew out a breath, she knew her boss was right, but she still couldn’t help thinking that she was being way too calm about this.

The follow the leader mentality online these days was a lot more virulent than it had ever been, since any nut with an opinion seemed capable of gathering followers to their cause like mindless sheep.
