He’s an ass, he looks like he bathes in Cheeto dust, and he says things that make no sense at times, but like it or not, Trump IS your president. It’s kind of irritating to be honest and listening to him, when I actually hear him on the TV, is something that makes me wonder just how he actually got this far. Then I look around and understand that when people say “he’s not my president” they’re actually a big reason why he managed to step into the White House.
It’s not just that, it’s also the fact that those that stood against him adopted an ‘all or nothing’ mentality that pushed people away and turned them on the Democrats since the whole idea of America is freedom, the freedom to do what we want and say what we want to say, without someone shaming us or jumping all over us for what we believe. Does anyone remember Republicans breaking down crying in droves when Barack Obama was elected?
There were demonstrations that were horrible and unacceptable, there’s no denial of that, and there were also such demonstrations when Trump came in, but to a degree that was so much worse. Those that favored Obama had 8 years to enjoy a black man in the White House and the idea that things were getting better, only to realize that, surprise, they weren’t. Trump is no prize to be honest, but if you’re a US citizen, he IS your president, like it or not.
If you don’t like that fact then there are other countries that will allow you to become a citizen, but be careful where you go if you decide to have another issue with any other world leaders.
