You feel it don’t you? That slight chill in the morning air.

It lets you know that summer’s almost gone.

And fall is just about there.

No more sweating in the summer heat and wishing it would rain

It’s becoming time to enjoy something hot and sweet

The passing of summer is some folks’ bane.

But golden hues on fallen leaves and branches bared for now

Leave a sign of beauty fit to steal one’s breath.

For fall is the time when summer takes a bow

and prepares the world for winter’s breath.
